Carel’s involvement in the Renewable Energy sector spans more than 20 years.
Recently he has been focusing on various programs centered around standards. Training and development of the PV sector is a long standing passion. He has personally trained in excess of 5000 candidates in solar related technologies since 2014.

As consultant involved in the sector he has been contracted to Tesla, Enel, Eskom, Western Cape Government, Department of Energy, and a number of local and international EPC’s.

Eugene Loots

Eugene has twelve years’ experience in the solar training industry where he conducted part time courses for various organisations.

He was a solar installation and design instructor at the Saudi Electrical Services Polytechnic (SESP) for 2 years. Prior to working in Saudi Arabia he was employed for nearly 17 years at the University of Johannesburg lecturing in Electrical Engineering. (from December 2000 till August 2017) During this period he also acted as Examiner, Moderator, Mentor and Assessor. His career started at a technikon where Eugene gained extensive electrical experience as technician.

He is currently a member at AREP and SAIEE and was a member of SESSA and ASSA. He also believes in lifelong learning where he attends short courses with specific focus on solar, renewable energy and sustainability.

Adriaan's career in the electrical sector started 15 years ago managing the construction and commissioning of electrical infrastructure projects which included new residential, commercial and industrial developments such as soccer stadiums for the FIFA world cup in 2010, Weigh Bridges for Sanral and Multiple Sub-Stations at Medupi Power Station for Eskom.

Currently Adriaan is a director of a solar management company specializing in fault-finding, testing (IV Curve), load logging, upgrading and optimizing of solar systems for the residential, commercial and industrial sector.
